The latest “Tips From The Top Floor”.

Chris Marquardt started his podcast “Digital Photography Tips From The Top Floor” a few years back. He was somewhat new to digital photography, which helped him offer fantastic tips and lessons on things to do to improve your photography. It’s probably one of the best and most successful educational podcasts out there, and the longest-running. Chris has put out over FOUR HUNDRED episodes, all full of great photography information. This is in addition to promoting other podcasts, running workshops around the world, and running his own media business largely centered on photography.

Chris is German, lives in Germany, and speaks perfect English. He also does German-language podcasts on photography. He also has a background in audio recording, which makes his podcast one of the best produced and most listenable. He has guest hosts from time to time, ranging from guys like Leo Laporte to Jeff Curto. I’ve discovered several other good podcasts thanks to those guests.

I’ve enjoyed his podcasts for years and he’s interviewed me three times. The first two were about extreme sports photography, this current one is about my sound blimp (instructions are here on this site). You can hear it via iTunes or direct from Chris’ site at tipsfromthetopfloor.com.

HP Envy 110 e-all-in-one wireless wi-fi printer fax scanner review ProPhotoCoalition.com Thumbnail

Hands-on with the HP Envy 110 e-All-In-One

It prints, scans, copies and faxes, more wirelessly than you even expect.

I’ve had the chance to use HP’s new Envy 110 e-All-in-one printer/copier/scanner/fax, and I love it. It’s amazingly easy to set up, has it’s own touch screen to walk you through connecting it to your Wi-Fi (and a LOT more, but we’ll get to that in a bit).

A safe way to archive and store your old hard drives.

Unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past 20 years, you use computers. And if you’re like most of us, you’ve replaced, upgraded or just added new hard drives. And you’ve kept the old ones. There’s stuff on there you’re using for a backup, archiving specific projects, or just saving it. How do you keep those drives safe and organized?
